Don and Carolyn are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Carolyn very kindly let me use their campground phone to contact my brother who was in the area for my son's wedding when my cell phone got no service. The bathhouse was very clean and well maintained. They were friendly and courteous at all times. I plan to stay here again as it is only 1/2 mile from the park entrance .

We've stayed in Townsend many times, but only recently purchased a travel trailer. I've seen your facilty on our past trips, and after researching several of the local campgrounds, we'll be giving you a try on our next visit.

We travelled from Dallas, Texas to Townsend and stayed for a week the end of August. We have never had so much fun at a campground as we had at Mountaineer. We got in at midnight and the next morning Carolyn came down to check on us to make sure all was good. She and Don are the most gracious, warm and friendly hosts we have ever encountered. We fell in love with Townsend, TN and the Great Smokey Mountains. We will definitely be back in the future!

Hello, we had intended on staying at cades cove the weekend of 9/13/13, but we arrived and it was full. We should have planned better but ended up at this campground. Everything happens for a reason, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience or better host for our visit! Don and Carolyn are amazing people and their hospitality will definitely bring us back! (Plus they have some awesome framed art in the office!) Thanks guys for all you did to make our weekend great! We had a great 6 day stay. We enjoyed the pool, the great location that was so close to the Park entrance. Made it very convenient to Cades Cove and other parts of the park. The campground was clean and well kept. Lot 12 was awesome with the deck and being right next to the river. We enjoyed watching the tubers floating by during the day! We loved being able to walk just next store for Burgers and ice cream or a short stroll down the road to a restaurant, We look forward to returning again next year. Thanks for everything.
